Tex-DOT opens the doors Monday night for more public comments on the deeply controversial project known as the Trans Texas Corridor.

Opponents of the proposal are beating the war drum at hearings Monday night at the Waco Convention Center, trying to build a movement against the project.

It's been a bumpy ride for the Governor's office to sell a highway corridor project to farmers and landowners, and at the Waco Convention Center the ride just got bumpier.

Up to a million Texans stand to lose land to the 100-billion dollar plan, and there are a lot of people who say they have or will fight the Governor's efforts.

That includes legislators and the managers of interests along the most likely route of the proposed corridor.

Regina Thornton, GM of Waco’s Memorial Park, explained, "It'd be something you'd fight, with both claws."

When the open forum portion of the hearings begins we'll see just how people feel about the Trans Texas Corridor.
