To the Editor,
Thanks for the informative article about opposition to the Trans-Texas Corridor.
People from all over the U.S have an eye on what Texans will do to stop this mammoth project.
Sounds like a stealth endeavor and Texans may one day be presented with a “fait accompli.”
A good story is the continuing selling off of our infrastructure. Bridges, roads, etc., are being bought by foreign companies to be made into toll roads for their profit.
President Eisenhower developed the cross-country highway system and taxpayers paid for it, in good times and in bad. It should not be auctioned off the the highest bidder.
If this is not outright illegal, it is certainly unethical.
